Kerry Peroni

Founder and President: 

Creator and visionary to help meet the needs of those students  who simply learn differently.  Establish the mission of the organization, develop strategic goals to carry out the mission, and lead the S.E.A.L. team to collaboratively meet the formulated goals.  Oversee all fund raising and program operations and act as the chief fundraiser. Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, recruiting donors, and attending fundraising events.  Act as a liaison to the board of directors and recruit members to serve on the board of advisors.

Hobbies/interest:

Running, spending time with my husband, three sons and extended family, volunteering with student-centered projects and organizations, time at the beach and watching sons compete on the field

I would want them to know I am deeply passionate about  kids and believe we need to invest in our youth, particularly those who need us to be their voice.  I see myself as a faithful servant who works to give back to others.  Family is my bedrock and what centers me.

Team.  Organize meetings and events and create/deliver communications related to such events through print and technology.  Handle incoming requests for information from donors and attendees at events and utilize various marketing tools to build customer and prospect lists.  Review detailed analytics to determine best strategies for building our donor base.

Works with partner schools to develop and embed the Foundation’s Pathways Approach Program. Included in that partnership is on-site support to each school’s administration, faculty, staff community members through professional development and the provision of educational materials to support the work of the special education team.

An educator with forty-five years of teaching and administrative experience and founder of the Sally Borden Program at Friends Academy for students with language-based learning differences.  Served as the consultant for the Hope Graham Program at the Bancroft School.

Master’s of Special Education – Providence College
Bachelor of Science in Education, Minor in English – University of Maine at Orno 

Hobbies/interest:

An avid reader who has devoted her life to ensuring that others can read

Elena Zongrone

Work closely with the President to create and deliver the vision for SEAL Foundation, as well as general operating tasks, including the creation of a Board of Advisors and Personnel Policies Manual.
Identify the Foundation’s greatest strengths, opportunities for improvement, and growth. Oversee the strategic fundraising efforts by coordinating programs that target donors and prospects for gifts.  Design /assist in the creation, production and distribution of fundraising and website materials, write prepare and disseminate donor correspondence, annual appeals and write solicitation and grant proposals. Identify, cultivate and steward donors and sponsors.

BS and BA in Psychology and Special Education
Two years as the Director of Development
15 years with the NYS Education Department in various leadership roles

Responsible for the creation of original video programming for the S.E.A.L. Foundation, including promotional, fundraising, professional development, simulation, and social media videos. Provides graphic design and digital media support to S.E.A.L. team members. Designed the S.E.A.L. website and is tasked with overseeing its functionality, evaluating and managing website performance, facilitating hosting and server management, and developing, maintaining and updating content.

BS Mass Communications/Television Production from Emerson College
Over 40 years as an audio/visual specialist, video producer and media consultant

Hobbies/interest:

Tent camping, hiking, kayaking, reading and spending time with my wife, children and grandchildren.
